Statement 1 of 45about 8 min left

I notice mistakes quickly, even when others don't.

What’s happening in this test?

  1. Read each statement. There are 45, about everyday habits and motives. Answer for how you usually are, not how you'd like to be.

  2. Rate it. Pick 1 to 5 for how true it is of you. You can use the number keys, and go back to change an answer.

  3. Nine scores. Each of the nine types has five statements, so each type gets a score from 5 to 25.

  4. A close call? If your top types are very close, a short tie-break round follows.

  5. Your type. Your highest score is your main type. If two or three types are within a point of the top, a short tie-break round decides between them. Your wing is the neighbouring type with the higher score. If both neighbours score the same, we show both.

What can change your result: your mood, what's going on in your life right now, and how honestly you answer. Results can shift over time.

Questions

What is the Enneagram?

A model that describes nine patterns of motivation: what drives people, what they fear and how they react under stress.

What does "Enneagram" mean?

It comes from Greek: ennea means nine, and gramma means something drawn, so it names a nine-pointed figure.

What are the 9 Enneagram types?

1 Ethical Architect, 2 Intuitive Caregiver, 3 Driven Achiever, 4 Authentic Depth-Seeker, 5 Analytical Observer, 6 Vigilant Guardian, 7 Visionary Explorer, 8 Assertive Protector, 9 Harmonious Mediator.

How do I find my Enneagram type?

Take the test above, then read your top two or three type descriptions. The one that feels most true about your motives, not just your behaviour, is usually your type.

What is an Enneagram number?

Simply your type, from 1 to 9. "I'm a 6" means Type 6.

What is a wing?

One of the two types next to yours on the circle, which adds flavour to your main type. It's written like 4w5.

Is the Enneagram scientific?

Research on it is limited and mixed. It's best used for self-reflection, not as a fixed label.

Can my type change?

Many people find their result shifts a little with mood and life stage. Retake it in a few months and compare.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Every score is shown free, and your answers never leave your device.
